A work by Chisho(814-891), the fifth chief priest of Enryaku-ji temple on Mount Hiei, the headquarters of the Japanese Tendai school.It records the oral teachings he received during his stay in China from Liang-hsyof Ch'an-lin-ssu temple on Mount T'ient'ai. The Temple ( Jpn Jimon) school, a branch of the Tendai school, reveres this work as a foundational scripture.
