Tao-hsien[道暹] (n.d.) (PY Daoxian; Jpn Dosen)
A priest of the T'ient'ai school in China. He is said to have been a disciple of Miao-lo. Sometime in the Ta-li era (766-779), he went to the capital Ch'ang-an, where he devoted himself to writing The Supplement to "The Words and Phrases of the Lotus Sutra," a commentary on both T'ient'ai's Words and Phrases of the Lotus Sutra and Miao-lo's Annotations on "The Words and Phrases of the Lotus Sutra."
